Fresno City College: A junior college standout thrower... earned All-America honors in shot put, hammer throw and discus... made the state finals in all three... took second in hammer and shot put and third in discus... put up big personal bests, hammer (183-9), discus (155-8), shot put (44-10) and javelin (189-11).
Avenal HS: A five-sport athlete in high school... participated in volleyball, tennis and track & field three years, as well as picking up softball and basketball for one year each... was a track & field state finalist, earning MVP honors and breaking the school record in the discus.
Personal: Born September 28, 1986 in La Piedad, Michoacan, Mexico... parents are Yolanda and Jose Ayala... has one older brother... hobbies include music, playing with her dogs, hanging out with friends an family, and participating in those sports she played in high school... names her father as her favorite athlete because he taught her everything she knows about how to succeed... most admires her mother for overcoming everything... came to Fresno State because of the opportunity to grow under the American record holder, coach Ramona Pagel.
