Fresno State: In his second tour of duty with the team, having played with the Bulldogs during the 1998 and '99 seasons … plays with reckless abandon … a big-hitter who flies at ballcarriers … expected to be a starter at free safety this year. (2001) Played in all 14 games … made 31 tackles, 21 of which were unassisted … had four tackles for loss and two sacks … had two interceptions and one fumble recovery … had an interception against Colorado in the season opener and one in the regular season finale against Utah State.
