FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's tennis team fell to 13th-ranked Pepperdine, 5-2 on Sunday in Malibu, Calif. The Bulldogs lost the doubles point, but were successful at winning two of the singles matches, both in three sets.

The Bulldogs did not give up the doubles point easy, they put up a fight sending two of the matches into tie-breakers. Both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots were thrown into tiebreakers to decide the doubles point.

"We played a really good team today, and we had chances in both doubles and singles," head coach Jay Udwadia said. "We need to continue to practice and get ready for our final matches."

Playing at the No. 1 spot, Junior Rudolf Siwy proved himself as being a strong player on the team today by defeating 6th-ranked Andre Begemann in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Sophomore Tejesvi Veerepalli played well at the No. 3 spot defeating Omar Altmann in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.

The Bulldogs are at home next with a match against Pacific on Sunday April 20th at 1 p.m. at the Wathen Tennis Center.
