FRESNO, Calif. - Junior Rudolf Siwy was named the WAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday for his performance last weekend on the California coast.

Siwy and sophomore Mirko Zapletal clinched the doubles point for Fresno State and contributed to the team's 4-3 victory over UC Santa Barbara. Siwy also won his singles match at the No. 1 spot, defeating Philip Therp in straight sets.

Siwy won possibly the biggest match of his career on Sunday, upsetting sixth-ranked Andre Begemann of Pepperdine in three sets. Siwy is now 24-7 overall and 17-3 in dual matches.
