Fresno State vs. Baylor
Fresno State and Baylor have met three previous times on the basketball court with the Bulldogs leading the overall series 2-1. In the most recent meeting in 2003, Fresno State lost in Waco in the WNIT, 72-65. Prior to 2003, the two teams met in 1989 and 1990 where the Dogs won 129-66 and 72-71.

Scouting Baylor
Baylor is 24-6 and has five players scoring in double figures on the season. The Lady Bears are led by the play of Angela Tisdale's 16.2 points a game. Rachel Allison is scoring 12.8 points and grabbing 8.6 rebounds. Baylor is shooting 44 percent from the field and averaging 72 points a game.

Fresno State at the Pit
Saturday's NCAA tournament game at the Pit will not be the first time the Bulldogs have played on the campus of the University of New Mexico. When New Mexico was in the WAC the Bulldogs played at the Pit five times from 1993-1999 and lost all five meetings to the Lobos.

History Making Bulldogs
This has been a year of firsts for the Bulldog women's basketball team. Fresno State earned its first ever regular season conference championship in the programs 43 years by going 14-2 in WAC play. The Bulldogs then won the schools first ever conference tournament championship. This is also the first year the Dogs have played in the NCAA Tournament.

Impressive WAC Tournament Run
In Fresno State's first ever WAC Tournament championship victory they won their three games by an average score of 81-63. Jaleesa Ross was named Tournament MVP after averaging 21.3 points a game and shooting 60 percent from the field. Tierre Wilson and Emma Andrews also earned All-Tournament honors. Wilson averaged 12.7 points and shot 50 percent from the field and Andrews averaged 12 points while shooting 52 percent from the field. As a team the Bulldogs shot 46 percent from the field and 40 percent from the 3-point line. The Dogs had four players average in double figures.

WAC Tournament Records Fall
Fresno State tied a tournament record for 3-pointers made in the tournament with 27. The record is also held by TCU who hit 27 in 2001. In the semi-final win over Louisiana Tech the Bulldogs set a WAC tournament game record for most 3-pointers made and attempted as they went 13-for 33.

The Fab 5 Freshmen
This years freshmen class has put up impressive numbers all season. In the WAC tournament they combined to score an average of 50.6 points a game. Against Loulsiana Tech in the semi-final game the Bulldog freshmen outscored the Lady Techsters 64-58. In the quarterfinal game against San Jose State they combined to score 54 points and against New Mexico State in the championship game they combined for 34 points.
