The Visa Championship Series, USA Track & Field's signature series of domestic track meets, will include an indoor stop in California for the first time next Martin Luther King Day (Monday, January 21) when USA vs. the World at Run for the Dream kicks off the 2008 Indoor Visa Championship Series at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

The Run for the Dream Indoor Track Meet honors the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and presents the San Joaquin Valley with an opportunity to honor track and field stars of the past, with the stars of the present and the future.

Run for the Dream will feature three separate meets over the course of the day. A four-way college meet featuring Fresno State, Hawai'i, Cal Poly, and Cal State Stanislaus, will begin the day. The California High School Dream Team Championships will follow as outstanding high school athletes compete for their regions. The day will culminate in the USA vs. the World Visa Championship Series Meet. The competitors will be the first to run on a custom-designed indoor track funded through a donation by Fred Arnold in memory of his late wife, Madeleine.
